After decades spent on the front lines of coffee service, slinging espressos and hustlin' flat whites, we started Bad Hand with a commitment to roasting the best quality coffee while making as little impact to the planet as possible.
Our environmental commitment goes beyond superficial gestures. We source ethically grown and harvested coffee, and operate from a Bournemouth warehouse powered by renewable energy and solar panels. Wholesale deliveries are made by electric vehicle in reusable tubs, collected and cleaned for reuse.

Who we are
The name Bad Hand has nothing to do with coffee. It comes from a story involving a buffalo hide and an indigenous American — a tale that stuck with the founders long before the brand existed.
The operation now centres on a refurbished warehouse in Bournemouth's Triangle neighbourhood. It houses the roastery, a tasting room, coffee training facilities, and spaces for other businesses — a hub built around great coffee.
